　　5月8日，郑州市西四环外的中原西路上，车辆川流不息。但在地下16米深处，一部大型掘进装备正如同钢铁长龙一般，以每天20米左右的速度向前挺进，在它身后，留下的是一条初具形态的地铁隧道……

　　“It is called shield tunneling machine. As an effective tool in the construction of urban subway tunnels and underground pipe corridors, it does not affect the ground traffic during its operation underground.”According to Xiang Yang, head of Zhengzhou Metro Line 10 Construction Project and deputy manager of Project Production of China Railway Tunnel Group, its enhanced version—TBM (tunnel boring machinefor hard rock)—will be used when highway tunnels, railway tunnels and hydraulic tunnels throughthe sea or the mountainsare constructed.

　　“这台掘进装备就是盾构，它可以在不影响地面交通的情况下安全高效施工，是建设城市地铁隧道、地下管廊的利器。”郑州轨道交通10号线项目负责人、中铁隧道项目生产副经理向阳告诉记者，如果要开掘“穿山越海”的公路隧道、铁路隧道、水工隧洞，则需要其“加强版”——TBM（硬岩掘进机）大显身手。

　　近年来，“中国设计中国造”的盾构TBM不仅占据了95%的国内市场，还出口世界多个国家和地区，实现了从“中国制造”向“中国创造”的大步迈进，成为一张响当当的“中国名片”。位于郑州高新区的盾构及掘进技术国家重点实验室，是盾构及掘进技术领域唯一的国家公共研究平台和国家级研发中心，为打响这张“中国名片”提供了强大的技术支撑。

　　“Since the establishment of this laboratory in 2012, we have developed the world’s largest rectangular tunneling machine, domestic TBM with maximum diameter and domestic slurry shield with maximum diameter, making our design and manufacture reachthe international advanced level,” said Sun Zhenchuan, executive director of the laboratory.
